1/12/2015: Rounded the Horn in Chile yesterday and headed back to Ushuaia, Argentina, who claims the title of the southern-most city on earth. It sits along side the Beagle Channel, which divides Argentina from Chile. The channel was named for the HMS Beagle, which sailed this route with the young naturalist Charles Darwin on board on his way to the Galapagos, where his work made Beagle one of the most famous ships in history.
